At 115.7 tons, the SANY SR285MV Drill Rig is set up for rock drilling across South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia, with a multi-speed rotary that adjusts to ground conditions and runs from 5 to 27 rpm. A 450 horsepower Cummins X12 engine delivers 210,205 lbf·ft of rated output torque.

Standard mode drills 7'2" diameter holes to 308' with a friction kelly bar or 200' with an inter-locking kelly bar, and CFA mode drills 3'11" diameter holes to 88'7". The 56'1" stroke and a main winch line speed of 230 ft/min keep the SR285MV moving on the hole, and a real-time display shows the kelly bar lock positions with the inter-locking kelly bar. Safety equipment includes a winch camera, blind side and backup cameras, cab protection screens, and swing alert lights. Transport takes three trucks, with a 60'1" transport length and 11'5" transport width, and assembly typically takes under a day.
